Carly's Accident

Shawn and Carly are always playing, she's more daring than Adrian and likes to ride up on his shoulders, wrestle with him, and that kind of stuff. The other night, Shawn lifted her up onto his shoulders and she let out a little yelp and then wouldn't let anyone touch her arm. We took her to the pediatrician and found out that it had been dislocated. You would never have thought that it was something so painful. She was so tough! You could tell she was hurting, but she was still smiling and joking and even singing while we waited for the doctor to fix her up. That part was pretty painful to watch, at least shots are in and out and done. It seemed like he had to yank on her arm for too long. Once it was done he left the room so she could settle down and so we tried to get her to sing the itsybitsy spider with us so she would have to move her arm. Once she figured out that it worked again she just sat there and raised it up and down over and over.
