Happy Anniversary!

Wow, I can't believe it has been four years!

This is what I asked for for my anniversary/birthday present this year. Shawn did an amazing job!

Month 7

She's mobile! She's not full on crawling on her hands and knees, but she gets where she wants to be pretty quick. She's also started to jabber different syllables. So far we've heard da and ba. Now that she's getting into everything, she's also getting on Adrian's nerves a little bit. Every once in a while I'll hear her telling Carly "No, that's Adrian's, too little". She'll usually go find one of Carly's toys to replace it with and tells her "here, this Carly's". (Yes we need to teach her not to talk in 3rd person all the time).

Adrianese

Adrian wanted to watch "Donkeyode" today. 20 frustrating minutes later (for both her and me) I figured out she was saying Pinocchio.

Month 6

Time needs to stop. Seriously. She is growing way too fast. She's sitting up all by herself and has started the army crawl this month. She''ll be chasing Adrian around in no time. She's also found her tongue recently, holy cow it's long!

Unless she's hungry or tired, she's a very happy baby. It's really not hard to get a smile out of her. She still won't have anything to do with a bottle or formula so weaning her should be quite the ordeal. She's still sleeping in her bassinet in our bedroom and I found her sitting up in it yesterday. She's growing out of it but I don't know what else to do with her since we only have one other bedroom. I can just see Adrian and Carly waking eachother up every hour. Moving her crib to the walk-in closet is the best idea we've got so far. Not a good sign.

Hooter Hider

These things are genius. My sister in law, Camille let me borrow hers when I had Carly and it makes it so nice. I found a tutorial online to make my own and since I have an entire closet full of fabric, I decided to try it out.

This is the link, her instructions made it so easy. http://makeitandloveit.blogspot.com/2008/12/nursing-cover.html

And this is the one I finished. It probably took a total of 45 minutes of actual sewing. 4 hours if you count each time I got interrupted :)

I wanted it big, but right now it's a little too long. Hopefully I can get it to shrink down a bit. I already had everything you need to make it so I'm not sure what it would cost, but I would guess somewhere between $16 and $20. Not bad when they sell for $40.
